Bear Cupcakes

Bear Cupcakes are so easy to make these simple instructions! Using vanilla wafers, frosting and edible eyes, you can create your own fun bear cupcake toppers. Works great for so many birthday themes including zoo, lumberjack, camping, teddy bear or a woodland birthday party!

Ingredients

  • 24 vanilla or chocolate cupcakes baked and cooled
  • 1 tub (16 oz) 16 oz chocolate frosting (or your favorite homemade frosting)
  • 24 vanilla wafer cookies regular size
  • 24 mini vanilla wafer cookies
  • 3 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • 48 candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Cut 24 small wafer cookies in half with a bread knife using a gentle sawing motion.
  2. Place mini chocolate chips in small bowl. Place in the microwave and heat in short intervals, and stirring often, just until fully melted.

  3. Pour into ziploc sandwich bag and seal. Cut a very small tip in the corner of the bag.
  4. Pipe a nose, mouth and crease onto the large wafer cookies with melted chocolate.
  5. Let set to harden completely or place in the refrigerate until chocolate is firm.
  6. Place chocolate frosting into a pastry bag fitted with a large 1M tip.
  7. Pipe a rosette onto the top of the cupcake.

  8. Place a face wafer cookie onto the frosting and add two ears. Finish by adding a set of candy eyes. Repeat until all cupcakes are frosted and decorated.
