Refreshing Iced Mocha Coffee Drink

I love iced coffee but they are so simple and cheap to make at home that I cringe now to actually buy one. My husband makes these at least a couple of times a week and I feel very lucky indeed. Customize it for yourself by altering amounts to suit your own personal tastes. I’m craving one right now just looking at these pictures. Mmmmmm…. nothing like a shot of caffeine in some milky, sugary coffee goodness.

Ingredients

2 cups prepared coffee

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

1 to 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup (depending on preference)

1 to 2 cups milk (depending upon preference)

Directions:

Mix brown sugar, vanilla and chocolate syrup into warm coffee. Cool in freezer or fridge or follow my husband’s tip: pour into metal container and let sit in a sink of cold water, shaking periodically. (NOTE: If using HOT coffee, please be careful not to burn yourself. Metal containers can get hot!) Should be cool enough within 20 minutes.

Poor cooled coffee mixture over ice.

Add milk.

Stir gently. This easily makes enough for 2- 3 people. Cut in half for less or simply store excess coffee mixture in the fridge to be enjoyed later!

Looks delish. I hate buying coffee out, as well.
