Creating a Serene and Timeless Holiday Mantle #PFDecorates

*This is a sponsored post with Provide Commerce and the Social Media Chicks. All opinions are my own.*

I admit that I’ve ignored my mantle for far too long. When we bought our house 10 years ago, one of the things I loved most about it was the character, especially the rock fireplace. Living near Lake Superior, it just felt so fitting and I couldn’t wait to decorate it. But I haven’t really updated it since. *Hides head in shame* I’ve wanted to and thought about it often but I wasn’t sure what look I wanted for the space. That is, until now.

Using items from Red Envelope and Proflowers, I’ve created a holiday mantelscape that will work well beyond the holiday season. I picked out this Peace on Earth wreath made of olive tree branches and leaves. If you look closely, you can see an olive peaking out. This wreath is delivered live but will dry so you can add it into your regular decor. It has a very mild, pleasant scent.

I’ve always loved the look of mini trees. It is a great way to bring the outdoors inside on a smaller scale. These cypress trees come in a set of three and feature a burlap container and together say, “Ho! Ho! Ho!”. If you happen to live in a mild to warmer climate (Zones 5-11) you can even plant these outside in the spring.

Once the holidays are over, I will simply remove the attached wooden Ho! tag and keep them up year round. Unfortunately my climate won’t allow for them to be planted outside. These cypress trees do have a distinct tree scent so keep that in mind if you are sensitive.

I also added to wooden deer ornaments. I think they are a perfect touch. They arrived in a beautiful pouch, just right for storing or gift giving.

I wanted to add a personal art piece that was classic yet modern. This personalized family tree wooden wall art piece displays our  family name and anniversary year. Each of the birds represents a member of our family.

This wood piece is gorgeous. I absolutely love the way the gold finish looks. It really makes this piece sparkle and stand out.

I wanted a family picture displayed on our mantle from our fall photo shoot so I chose this silver finish picture frame.

I love metallic colors and this balances out the gold on the other side of my mantle.  I like the way it shimmers in the light and has texture.

But I think my favorite part of my new mantel is the white porcelein luminaria village set. It features LED tealights which I like for safety reasons. It also gives off such a warm glow on my mantle and like the other pieces displayed, can stay up all winter long. I added a burlap garland to tie it all together, add additional texture, and avoid  white on white.

I’m just in love with my new winter mantle. I can’t stop looking up at it. Can you blame me?

I finally have the serene and timeless mantel that I’ve always wanted. Merry Christmas to me!

That’s a beautiful mantle. I have always wanted to decorate but haven’t done so. Soon I hope.
