It is hard to believe that it is almost the new year! The timing is terrible since it feels like I just got used to writing 2014 and we are already on to 2015. The year went by so fast! This Limoncello and Strawberry Spritz shared by Limoncello di Capri is a great sparkling wine cocktail option and perfect to toasting our new year and new beginnings.
LIMONCELLO & STRAWBERRY SPRITZ
2 oz Limoncello di Capri
4 oz Prosecco
2-3 Leaves Fresh Basil
Splash simple syrup
1 ½ oz Fresh Strawberries
Directions:
Blend the strawberries, simple syrup and basil.
Pour Limoncello di Capri, strawberries and basil into shaker. Shake vigorously for 5 to 10 seconds.
Pour in a tall tumbler glass and top with Prosecco.
Garnish with 1 strawberry cut in half and 1 basil leaf.
